Blizzard 宣佈旗下正在開發中的新作品《Blizzard All Star》正式更名為《Heroes of the Storm》，並邀請《星海爭霸 》系列Youtube 影片團隊 CarbotAnimations 製作宣傳影片。
根據 MMO-Champion 的，Blizzard 於 9 月 30 日申請註冊「Heroes Of The Storm」商標權，定位為電腦遊戲軟體，可透過手機、電腦、平板電腦於網際網路下載用的軟體，而 10 月 17 日正式確認《Blizzard All Star》正式更名為《Heroes of the Storm》。
2010 年 10 月 22 日宣佈《Blizzard DOTA》
2012 年 5 月 11 日更名《Blizzard ALL -Stars》
2013 年 10 月 17 日更名《Heroes of the Storm》
Blizzard 更邀請製作過《星海爭霸》、《蟲族之心》系列趣味影片的 Youtube影片製作團隊 CarbotAnimation，以動畫的方式表現出《Heroes of the Storm》的定名歷程，《Heroes of the Storm》的遊戲內容，確定在今年 11 月 8 日的暴雪嘉年華中揭曉。
