Goldgenie 是擁有全球首屈一指黃金電鍍技術的公司，原先是高階汽車品牌 Lexus、Bentley 與 Rolls-Royce 的合作廠商，專門為他們的汽車外觀、徽章還有車內布置電鍍黃金。而先前就曾經與蘋果、三星等公司合作，推過黃金版的iPhone 5、Samsung S4 等手機，Goldgenie 過去也曾與過去商務手機龍頭黑莓機合作過。

這次首次與 HTC 合作，除了黃金版的 New HTC One 外，另外還有玫瑰金與白金版本共三種版本，售價 1895 英鎊起跳，玫瑰金版本售價 1995 英鎊，最貴的則是白金版本，要價 2095 英鎊，折合台幣約為 97375 元。
