本作為 2011 年推出的 Wii 版《經典米奇～米老鼠與魔法之筆》（ディズニー エピックミッキー ～ミッキーマウスと魔法の筆～）續作，為了將遭到地震等天災破壞的「荒原」（ウェイスト・ランド）重新建設，米奇再度展開大冒險。魔法之筆擁有「畫筆」（繪圖）及「橡皮擦」（擦掉）兩種能力，可以用來打倒敵人並解除各種關卡。
